Well there is something about the document that makes it unique like a deleted field. Even if hidden it seems like we would be able to test for that. I know I have done something like this before for replication/save conflict document because it had a $Conflict field to test for.

What about with the C Note API? Is there a way to test for if a document is in trash or belongs to a folder so that it is easy to find a particular document?
